Natasha Workman, one of SKA’s engineers on the University of Virginia’s Guesthouse and Conference Center project was accompanied by Melissa Cerrito and Hilary Vickerman for the ribbon cutting of this new 214-room hotel with over 25,000 square feet of flexible meeting spaces. The rain did not dampen their spirits on the spectacular surroundings or the excellent work our team did on the design and innovative solutions. The Virginia Guesthouse, located along the Ivy Corridor, is the “strategic gateway to the University,” stated President Beardsley in his opening speech. Aside from hotel and conference spaces, this facility offers a coffee cafe (The Counter), a rooftop bar (The Perch, highest rooftop bar in Charlottesville), and the largest ballroom in the city of Charlottesville.
