SKA provided building envelope consulting services for the new 7-story, 173-unit brick and panel facade residential apartments with balconies. The project included 3,500 sf prime ground floor retail space and underground parking deck and portions of the building included standing seam metal roofing. Additionally, SKA provided electronic leak detection survey at the south courtyard on the east side of the building. While the waterproofing on the vertical surface of the concrete, within the area of the north side ground level “balcony”, breaches were found on the vertical surface of the concrete within the area of the south side ground level “balcony” to the east side of the unit door. Once each of the respective areas of the courtyard had been repaired, SKA rescanned each of the repaired areas to verify that the courtyard was watertight.
