SKA is part of the Design Build team that handled the design and construction of two new 20,000 sf corporate hangars installed at Smith Reynolds Airport in Winston-Salem, NC. For the hangars, SKA provided structural engineering services related to the design of the foundations. The new hangars were constructed utilizing pre-engineered metal building structures designed by a proprietary manufacturer to accommodate the largest GA aircraft, Global, Gulf Stream and Embraer Legacy Series, Challenger 300 / 600 and Falcon 2000ex with winglets 3. The total project budget was $6 million and included the demolition of two existing buildings and construction of the new hangars.
