SKA provided structural design and building envelope engineering for this new five-story 149,000 sf facility which consists of administrative offices, wellness center, and consultation rooms; four-court and two-court gymnasiums; multi-activity court (MAC) gymnasium; elevated jogging track; cardio and free weight training room; rock climbing wall; indoor pool; outdoor leisure pool; multipurpose group fitness rooms; racquetball courts; squash courts; outdoor resource center; locker rooms and support spaces; equipment storage; and core and circulation.  Project scope includes a post-tensioned gym floor that spans over the pool level, indoor-outdoor olympic pool; moment frame space trusses which support a high roof over gym area; and various resistance workout stations that are attached to the structure. The main level of the building is connected to the upper floors with monumental “floating” tube steel stairs. The entire gym is encircled with an overhead suspended running track.
