In 2019 and 2020, SKA provided water testing of newly installed curtain wall window sections in the Main Terminal Building. The purpose of the testing was to ensure that the curtain wall system installed was free of water infiltration. A total of five new curtain wall units were tested. When testing along the West elevation of the conference room, leaks were observed where water dripped from the horizonal mullion and collected on the sill frames. The result of water testing was the same when testing along the West elevation of the upper part of the atrium.

After remediation was completed, water spray re-tests were conducted at the Northeast elevation office area and Southeast elevation office area. No water was observed at any visible locations adjacent to the curtain wall system. Montieth and Wilmington International Airport were pleased with the testing and subsequent re-tests to ensure problem areas were discovered and corrected.

In 2021, SKA provided water testing of newly installed curtain wall window sections in the Main Terminal Building. The purpose of the testing was to ensure that the curtain wall system installed was free of water infiltration. A total of three new curtain wall units were tested utilizing two different field water testing protocols and subsequently two re-tests were performed a month later due to failed tests.

After remediation was completed, re-testing was successfully completed with no observed water infiltration.  At each section that was spray tested, the curtain wall and underlying building components were free of water infiltration. At the southeastern elevation of the boarding level a spray rack water test was utilized, and the test was performed with no water infiltration noted. Two additional locations were tested with no water infiltration noted. The clients were pleased with the testing and subsequent re-tests to ensure problem areas were discovered and corrected.
