SKA at the NSPE of North Carolina Summer Conference in Wilmington

The National Society of Professional Engineers of NC, PENC: Professional Engineers of North Carolina, is having their summer conference, Beyond Boundaries: Engineering Momentum for North Carolina’s Next Economy, starting this Thursday in Wilmington.

Justin Plaisted, PE, SKA Consulting Engineers, Inc.’s new Structural Repairs Manager, is an active member of this professional organization and has the honor of being PENC’s President Elect. David Tepke, P.E., FACI, SKA’s Technical Director and a Principal Engineer, will be presenting on Friday June 12th at the 10:15-11:25 am session. He will discuss how ideas become practice through the development and use of effective codes, and the role of advocacy in that process. David is a member of the ACI Technical Activities Committee (TAC), 301 (Specifications), 321 (Concrete Durability Code), and 562 (Concrete Repair Code). He chairs the ACI Committee on Codes and Standards Advocacy and Outreach (CSAO).
